Tour Presicce

Presicce is a wonderful village in the lower Salento, a mosaic of churches and stately buildings that adorn the historic center, alternating with the humble residences of the Court Houses and the underground oil mills. The tour consists of a suggestive and interesting route, which winds through alleys, squares and courtyard houses, important noble palaces, churches, chapels and underground oil mills. During this journey it will be possible to immerse yourself in the typical atmosphere of the past. You can breathe that mix of peasant simplicity, bourgeois nobility and ecclesiastical spirituality that once populated these streets at the same time. At the end of the tour it will also be possible to visit the Museum of Rural Life inside the Doge’s Palace. You will discover aspects of everyday life, agricultural work and the “trades” practiced by the people of the past.
